Commitment
I want this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings. The target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
What has been done
- Semantic HTML with landmarks, a logical heading order and a "Skip to content" link.
- Full keyboard support with visible focus indicators, and touch targets of at least 44 × 44 px.
- Text and interface colours chosen to meet AA contrast ratios.
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Animations are switched off when your device's "reduce motion" setting is on. The featured-work slideshow has a visible pause button, stops while it has focus or the pointer is over it, and never auto-plays under reduced motion.
- Form fields have visible labels; errors are announced to screen readers and explained in text.
- The layout works at 320 px width and at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
- Pages work without JavaScript; scripts only add interactivity.
Known limitations
- The contact form may use Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection. It normally runs invisibly, but if it shows a challenge, its accessibility depends on Cloudflare. You can always email hello@mahmudulkhan.com instead.
- Linked external sites and live project demos are outside this website and may not meet the same standard.

Technical information
The website is a static site built with HTML, CSS and a small amount of JavaScript. It was tested with keyboard-only navigation and in modern browsers at desktop and mobile sizes. This statement was prepared on 8 October 2026 from a self-assessment.
